Cheap motorsport
I love a bit of motorsport from karting to watching the F1 on the tv. I jump at the chance to do it whenever possible, the only problem is it's so damn expensive. So this section of the blog i've decided to dedicate it to finding the cheapest motorsports out there.
I've recently joined the website Groupon who send you through special deals everyday, one of these special deals was learning how to drift at Brands hatch via Allstars driving academy. They do an introduction to drifting for £125 but with the Groupon deal it was £59 so i thought i'd give it a go. A good friend and myself went the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it, so much so the second time the deal came i couldn't resist buying it again. Now before we go any further i just want to say i'm not vastly experiened in motorsport and am definately not a race driver or drift king so would happily class myself as a novice doing it for the enjoyment but even with this in mind i found the basics of drifting easy to pick up. Therefore i would highly recommend this deal to anyone because everyone is there just to have fun and can honestly say no one cares about your ability. The proof is in the puddin as they say and this case is no exception because for the second time round i took my Dad who has never experienced oversteer in his life finding it a bit unatural to lose grip at the rear of the car and struggling with part 1 of the intro to drifting, dounuts. But by part 2 ( figure 8's ) he seemed to get used to the feeling of the car sliding and from then on enjoying the rest of the day proving anyone can do it.
Now if you dont want to miss out on the next drifting session at Brands Hatch or any other motorsport deals ( supercar experiences etc ) please press HERE and sign up for groupon for free.
Here's a couple of videos of our experience enjoy !
Here's me trying some dounuts in a 200sx.
Here's Dad giving it a go.
Thanks for looking and remember if you have any ideas for cheap motorsport feel free to write in the comments below.
